The Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is the City of Genoa's policy document that combines the community's zoning and subdivision regulations in a single code. Following the adoption of the 2023 Genoa Comprehensive Plan in January 2024, the City is updating the UDO as one of the first plan implementation steps to ensure the UDO is consistent with the plan's land use and development strategies. This includes updating the Zoning Map where necessary for consistency with the Future Land Use Plan. The updated UDO will also be streamlined where appropriate to make it a user-friendly format for residents, developers, staff, and local officials to use and understand with clear rules, regulations, and procedures.
